Safety and Online Security

Safety and security

A rushed message, unexpected payment change or request for a security code deserves a pause. Protect your account, your group and your personal information before taking action.

What PardnerPlus will never ask you to do

Keep your passwords and banking security details private

  • Share your password, one-time code, PIN or full card security details.
  • Move group money to a “safe account” because of an urgent message.
  • Install remote-access software so somebody can control your device.
  • Keep a payment or account change secret from the rest of your group.

Common warning signs

Pressure is a reason to slow down

Unexpected urgency

A message says you must pay, click or reply immediately to prevent a loss, penalty or account closure.

Changed payment details

Somebody claims the group’s account or payment destination has changed, especially close to a due date.

Unusual secrecy

You are told not to speak to the organiser, another member, your bank or somebody you trust.

Guaranteed returns

An investment is described as risk-free, certain to grow or available only for a very short time.

Lookalike links

A link or address resembles a familiar organisation but contains unexpected spelling, numbers or extra words.

Security-code requests

Anyone asks for a login code, password, PIN or information your bank tells you never to disclose.

Safer Pardner habits

Make verification part of the group rules

Good security is easier when every member knows how changes are confirmed before the circle starts.

  1. Use a second channelIf a message asks for a change, call the organiser using a number you already know—not one supplied in the message.
  2. Confirm important changes togetherRecord who approved changes to dates, payout order or payment arrangements and make them visible to the group.
  3. Secure every accountUse a unique password, protect your email account and enable multi-factor authentication wherever it is genuinely available.
  4. Keep devices currentInstall trusted operating-system and browser updates and use a screen lock on phones and computers.

If you think something has happened

Act quickly, but do not panic

1. Stop contact

Do not send more money, share more information or continue replying.

2. Contact the right organisation

If money or bank details are involved, contact your bank using its official number or app.

3. Preserve the record

Keep messages, dates, addresses and transaction details, then tell the organiser and PardnerPlus.
